Work All of Your Muscles

Work All of Your Muscles
When I first started working out I had the idea that all I really needed to exercise were just a few select muscles.  For about half a year of exercising all I really worked was my chest, biceps, and abs.  But I was stupid and felt like I didn’t really need to work the other muscles because I didn’t want them to be too strong.  It is very important to work ALL to muscles you can work for balance in your muscles.  Every muscle is important in its own way and some can even help others gain mass.
Arms- A lot of people work their biceps, and only their biceps.  That is only half of the work, like washing your car with soap and not rinsing it off.  You need to also work your triceps.  Actually, you should work your triceps more than your biceps.  Your tricep, tri-cep, has three muscles in it, while your bicep, bi-cep, has only two.  So to get big arms you need to work your triceps because it can have the potential to get quite a bit bigger that your biceps.
Chest and Back- I had spent a lot of my time working on my chest and just my chest, but then I learned that working your back is also very important.  You might not know it but you use your back in many things that you do throughout the day, just about anything that you pull or lift, uses your back muscles.  It’s always important to work the muscles that are opposite of each other like biceps and triceps, chest and back, and quads and hamstrings.
Legs- I NEVER did legs starting out and now I’m paying for it.  I always thought what is so important about your legs.  Your legs are your base and your base should be one of your top priorities.  Your legs not only help you with running and jogging, but they can even help strengthen your upper body.  If your legs are strong then doing a lift, like curls, will stabilize and keep the position of that lift allowing you to perform that lift better.

Nutrition Basics

Nutrition Basics
We always hear how nutrition is important to become fit and strong, well, it’s even more important than you might think.  Nutrition is really about half of the whole idea of fitness and strength.  You can be the hardest working weightlifter on earth, but if you have bad nutrition you aren’t going to get very good results.  Your muscles work very hard when you are weightlifting and in order to get the gains you are striving for, afterward you need the sugars, protein, and vitamins so your muscles can have a chance to replace and replenish your muscles.  When you are working out and you feel that burn in your muscles, that is your muscle literally tearing its fibers in order to break itself down, but if it doesn’t get the right nutrition soon it won’t be able to pull itself back together so it can make your muscles bigger and stronger.
When you finish working out it is best to receive about one to two grams of protein throughout the day to get your muscles able to replenish.  Also if you have been sweating a lot it’s good to get salts and sugars in your system because of all the glucose and sodium you burned from your work out.  Also of course eating fruits and vegetables for health and fat loss.
It’s always hard to keep up on the good nutrition and exercising especially these days when everything is coated in butter and pig lard, but if you can keep up with it for just a few weeks you should see such great results that it will motivate you enough to continue.  Because there is almost no nutrition in food anymore I would suggest protein bars, powder, or supplements.  They are kind of pricey but consuming protein products right after your workout can help you see great results.

All About Abs

All About Abs
Everyone wants abs.  It’s practically a fact.  Although a lot of people don’t have a good idea, or any idea, on how to get 6 pack abs.  But THIS post will tell you all you need to know to get 6 pack, 8 pack, or even rarer, 10 pack abs (yes that’s a thing).
One of the bad things about abs is that they have little to no use in sports and athletics, and they are extremely hard to get, but you look so good if you do get them.  But I respect anyone that I see with abs because I know the hard work and dedication it takes to get and keep a 6 pack.
Ok one thing I see ALL the time is people trying to get abs by doing ab exercises.  One thing you need to know is that ab exercises don’t get you abs (I know right :0).  Because the truth is that everyone has abs.  Abs are just muscles underneath our skin.  The problem is that most people have too much fat on the outside to allow you to see them.  So you really need to attack the outside fat on your gut before you should ever do ab exercises.  The best way to get rid of the fat covering your body is through cardio, mainly running and jogging.  Treadmills, Stairmasters, and ellipticals are very good for this.  Also doing any kind of activity that is long and strenuous can burn enough calories to lose fat, like sports, martial arts, and sweat rooms.
There is one thing that I like to do and find results with.  I get on the treadmill and sprint as fast as I can for just a quarter mile.  Then instead of resting I do as many reps as I can on a light weight in vertical bench press or regular bench press for thirty seconds.  Then I rest for thirty seconds and run again on the treadmill, I repeat all of this four to five times.  While doing this for a few weeks I saw great results in losing stomach fat.  If you don’t have access to a treadmill or bench press, you can replace to running with a minute of jump squats and replace the bench press with pushups.
After losing most of the fat around your stomach you can then do all those ab exercises like crunches, sit ups, and bicycles.  THEN YOU CAN LOOK SHREDDED!
